One mission.
Carried out by capuchins, collaboration, and code.
For more than four decades, our work has been about independence, dignity, and opportunity for people living with physical disabilities.
The methods have evolved — from devoted capuchin helpers to emerging assistive technologies — but the people and the purpose behind every story here have not.
Monkey Stories
For over 40 years, we helped adults with spinal cord injuries and other mobility impairments across the United States live more independent, engaged lives by providing clients with a unique service animal: a highly trained capuchin monkey to help with their daily in-home tasks. These animals brought more than just a willing set of nimble hands to their human partner. They also brought companionship, joy, and the renewed sense of purpose that comes from taking responsibility for the health and well-being of another creature.
See the power of the human-animal bond formed between our monkey helpers and the the people that they helped.

Technology Stories
In recent years, we have been exploring innovative technologies to advance independence and accessibility. Through Envisioning Access, we built valuable partnerships, learned deeply from the disability community, and tested promising tools for the future. That work sharpened our understanding of where we may be able to deliver the most meaningful, sustainable impact.
