Michele Cunneen

Board Member

Michele is the founder and president of Animal Research Consulting LLC, a life sciences consulting firm specializing in animal care programs. Prior to starting the consulting business, she was the Associate Director of Pre-Clinical Biology at Genzyme Corporation.

She has been active in the preclinical, veterinary, and livestock industries for more than 30 years. Michele lectures nationally and internationally on the subject of environmental enrichment and is active in the veterinary community as a mentor and teacher. For the past 19 years, she has served as an adjunct faculty member at UMASS Amherst’s Veterinary Technology Program (formerly Mount Ida College) in Newton, Massachusetts, where she teaches third-year veterinary technology.

She joined Helping Hands with 25 years of experience in the management of animal care facilities. Her knowledge of facility design, humane animal management, and corporate management has been vital to the most recent successes of Helping Hands. Michele is the board liaison to the Veterinary Advisory Committee.
