Travis Amick had a new reality; the reality of living as a quadriplegic after a tragic accident. He wanted companionship and a reason to live and Siggy came in to his life. Siggy is a capuchin caretaking monkey that has changed Travis’ life for the better.
TRAVIS AMICK is 29 years old and is a U.S. Navy veteran. In 2011, Travis became paralyzed from the neck down due to an accident in New Orleans. He is now a C5/C6 quadriplegic. Travis currently lives in Lodi, California with his older sister (who is also his caregiver) and his monkey companion, Siggy.
